Value Addition

The organization is deeply committed to promoting sustainable livelihoods for tribal communities by harnessing the rich and diverse natural resources available in forested areas. Recognizing the traditional knowledge and deep connection tribal communities have with forest ecosystems, the organization focuses on value addition of Non-Timber Forest Produce (NTFP) to create better income opportunities and long-term economic resilience.

Key forest products such as Mahua, Tamarind, Jackfruit, and Bamboo are abundantly found in the region and hold significant cultural and economic value. Instead of selling these raw at low prices, the organization supports communities—especially women and youth—in upgrading their traditional practices by introducing scientific processing, packaging, and marketing techniques.
