Lac cultivation is an important livelihood activity for forest-dependent communities, but the process is quite complex and requires scientific management. The organization supports farmers by providing technical guidance at every stage of production. The process begins with selecting a suitable site and healthy host plants such as Kusum, Palash, or Ber. These plants are then pruned properly to prepare them for brood lac introduction. Inoculation is carried out by placing brood lac on the prepared branches, allowing lac insects to multiply and spread naturally. During the growth phase, careful monitoring is required to ensure proper swarming and development of the lac. Once the lac matures, it is harvested with the right techniques to protect the host plants and ensure sustainability. With improved practices and regular support, lac cultivation is becoming a reliable income source and strengthening the economic resilience of rural tribal families.
