Samekit Jan Vikas Kendra was established in 1992 with a foundation rooted in shared commitment and a vision for development. In 2000, it gained formal recognition under the Society Registration Act 21, 1860, solidifying its role as a pivotal organization in the humanitarian development sector.
Commitment to Indigenous Communities
Since its inception, the organization has worked closely with indigenous tribes, including Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG). It upholds the values, culture, and livelihoods of these communities, aiming to build a sustainable and inclusive society while respecting their inherent potential and societal contributions.
Operational Reach
The organization has extended its operations to three districts: East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Seraikela-Kharsawan. It currently impacts 13 blocks and 212 villages, demonstrating its wide reach and community-centered approach.
